There is no universal best three-item loadout. Equipment is valuable only when it is legal for the vehicle, supports the job you intend to perform, and changes a result that occurs often enough to matter.
1. Start with legal compatibility
World of Tanks restricts equipment by vehicle tier, class, and item rules. Standard, improved, bounty, and experimental equipment also have different availability and upgrade paths. Eliminate illegal combinations before comparing bonuses; legality is game data, not an opinion for an AI to invent.
2. Define the tank's job
A flexible medium configured for ridge snapshots solves a different problem from the same vehicle configured for open-map vision. Write the job as an action: reach a position, trade from cover, sustain fire, scout while moving, or survive module damage. An equipment name is not a role.
- Firepower: improve the chance or frequency of useful shots.
- Survivability: preserve hit points, modules, tracks, or time under pressure.
- Mobility: reach, leave, or rotate between valuable positions sooner.
- Scouting: improve detection or reduce the chance of being detected.
3. Find the bottleneck
Ask why opportunities are being lost. A gun can miss because of final accuracy, movement dispersion, aim time, or the player firing before the reticle settles. Those problems do not share one solution. Likewise, dying early can come from insufficient durability, a broken track, a late retreat, or a position no equipment could rescue.
4. Compare realized value, not garage percentages
Use a simple decision test: gain × opportunity frequency × conversion chance × importance. A small mobility increase that consistently wins an opening crossing can matter more than a larger bonus that rarely changes a shot. Test a loadout over enough battles and record the behavior it was meant to improve; do not judge it from one exceptional match.
