Data sources and calculations
Public player and vehicle results come from Wargaming's developer APIs. Static vehicle and equipment facts are stored in Tankr's Tankopedia catalogue. WN8 is calculated by Tankr from raw vehicle counters and community expected values; it is not an official Wargaming field.
Tankr discovers players through clans and records active accounts on a schedule across EU, NA, and Asia, including accounts nobody has manually searched for. Profile visits also add players and prioritize their observations. A first visit can therefore already have history, but coverage is limited to Tankr's growing pool and the periods it has actually observed.
Recent periods require valid stored observations at both ends. WN8 uses its own per-tank observations, so its time window and battle count may differ from the account-stat window. Tankr displays that timing and leaves values unavailable when their own evidence is missing or invalid, instead of filling the gap with an estimate.
Guide and editorial standard
The TANKR product team writes and reviews the public World of Tanks guides. Game-mechanics claims link to primary sources where available. Product claims are checked against implemented behavior, and substantial guide changes receive a visible updated date.
The guides aim to add original methodology from the product—such as exact period-WN8 validation and deterministic equipment compatibility—rather than restating generic advice or manufacturing pages for every search phrase.
AI coaching limitations
Tankr's AI features interpret the verified statistics supplied to them. They cannot see replays, map position, voice communication, or every decision made during a battle. Coaching is presented as an evidence-based hypothesis and next-session plan, not certainty about an event the system could not observe.
